“A gem of a holiday at Wagtails in Wells”
Wagtails is a very superior holiday let. We have stayed in the area many times and had become a little disappointed by the standard of other accommodation until we found Wagtails.
Wagtails is always crisp, very clean and well kept. The owners obviously have a genuine pride in making your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
In addition there is everything you could need and more, all thought of by the owners. The bungalow is lovely, roomy and very comfortable and in a great position in the town.
I can’t recommend it too highly and will continue to stay 2-3 times a year as we do currently. The standard of fixtures and fittings is very high and everything works well. VERY dog friendly with full dog equipment including treats supplied..
If you want a relaxing holiday in peaceful surroundings with easy access to all amenities then this is the place.

Owner’s Reply:’’Thank you for your lovely comments Lesley. We too have stayed at some self catering properties that have fallen well short of what we would have hoped for. We therefore try to provide as many little touches as possible to make all our guests feel truly at home’’ - Fran

“Excellent holiday home!”
Wagtails is the best holiday home we have ever stayed in! We discovered it over ten years ago and have been returning nearly every year since with various members of our family. It’s always good to see the friendly owners when we collect the keys!
The bungalow is delightful - comfortable, clean and well equipped it just feels like home. There is always tea, coffee, milk and sugar available on arrival - some welcome refreshment after a journey!
The garden has been a favourite with various children over the years they have loved the playhouse and its contents. Our grandchildren love Wagtails as much as we and their parents do.
Wagtails is ideally situated for exploring the area, on foot or by car. Wells-Next-the-Sea is such a lovely little town, but there are many other interesting places within easy reach.
Last year, I was recovering from a hip replacement operation, but still had a wonderful holiday at Wagtails - it really is suitable for those with mobility issues!
Wagtails is ideal for dogs too....absolutely!
I’m not sure what else I can say about this super place.....it is just so easy to relax and enjoy yourself at Wagtails.
Local Gems:Wells-Next-the-Sea harbour and the walk up to the beach.
The Wells-Walsingham single track railway.
Lovely meals at the local pub, The Bowling Green.
A day at Holkham Hall.

Owner’s Reply:’’Thank-you Annette - when looking for self catering accommodation ourselves we have always struggled to find places that also welcome our ’hound’ and so realise the importance of making the four legged members of the family feel welcome too. So pleased you had a lovely Christmas’’ - Fran

“The best Self Catering accommodation we have ever stayed in!”
Extremely high standard accommodation in Wells Next The Sea.
Quiet location on the edge of town yet superbly located for gentle stroll into the town and in close proximity to the beach and Pinewoods Forest.
Owners always very helpful and bungalow has lots of nice touches to further demonstrate they value your custom.
Kids and dogs very well catered for. Also superb log burner for those cosy nights in the winter.
A real home from home!
Superb accommodation that caters for all the family!
Local Gems:Excellent local pub just round the corner (Bowling Green).
A great shop for kids in Walsingham!
French’s Fish & Chips!

Owner’s Reply:’’Years ago I attended an event run by the Tourist Board who said never to advertise you property as ’Home from Home’ - they had some weird notion that some people may not want to stay in a property that was like their own home. We ignored that advice!!!! For someone to say Wagtails is like ’home from home’ is the best comment we could receive from our guests - unless we have interpreted it wrongly we assume they have had a lovely relaxing stay and take that as a job well done!!’’ - Fran

“Home from home”
A lovely, comfortable three bedroomed bungalow in a quiet residential road. Everything in the bungalow you could possibly need for a great week.
Lots of lovely little touches including ready-made dog tags in case your dog gets lost! Dog treats, towels and blankets.
Also lots of information in the bungalow about attractions and the surrounding area.
Situated perfectly so that you can walk into town for shops, pubs etc., with a great number of eating places to suit all tastes.
The property is great for families (nice garden) as well as dog owners and walkers.
Highly recommended.
A great, peaceful location.
Local Gems:The Crown Pub is worth a visit
