“Perfect, relaxing break in beautiful surroundings”
Had a lovely last-minute weekend at Latterbarrow Lodge. Lodge was comfortable and really relaxing and quiet with lovely views, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Bed was really comfortable and very welcome after a long day walking. Lots of ideas for walks at lodge too - thanks !
Double shower is great, lovely and hot and in my view makes best use of bathroom space.
Gate on decking was great so our dogs could dry off outside after walking. Deck is also private facing on to the beck so if you have a dog that gets excited when people pass by it’s ideal. Limefitt is a lovely quiet park and with great scenery and enough local pubs nearby if you want to eat out.
Some non-dog owners may be put off booking dog-friendly cabins, however Latterbarrow Lodge was very clean and having travelled with and without our dogs I would be equally happy to book it when not taking them.
Great location for access to local walks and villages
Local Gems:Tweedies Bar in Grasmere is great to sit and relax over a drink after walking and welcomes dogs - has lovely lawns outside with views over lake if weather fine.
