“An excellent, clean, comfortable base to explore a lovely part of the country where people are friendliest by far and always have time to chat”
I have stayed in many caravans over the years - most of them I have booked direct with the well-known larger sites and I have always been let down by the quality and standard of the vans even though they have not been cheap. I booked with Carol and Stewart the day before and I could not have been more pleased.
The van was lovely - very homely with a warm feel to it. I never once dreaded going back to the van. It had lovely bedding and was all made up for us which is a godsend after a long drive from the north.
I would recommend their caravans to anyone and already have passed their number on. The site is lovely, not too crowded and the entertainment is excellent for adults as well as the children. Out and about there is so much to do you cannot fit it all in.
I have already rebooked for Oct and next July. We had a fantastic time and I can definitely recommend it. Carol and Stewart can’t do enough for you and any problems you know they will be there to sort them out for you.
The club on site has brilliant entertainment and all the staff are really friendly

“A lovely, spacious home with all the little touches and extras you wouldn’t necessarily expect, and a very warm welcome”
This is my second stay here and the standard was as high as last time.. The park itself is clean, well run and has lovely sea views. The home was spotless, roomy and even though there were five adults we had plenty of room to relax, eat and sleep. The outside deck was ideal for meals etc..
As before, we had tea, coffee, biscuits and milk when we arrived and a lovely warm welcome from the owners.
I can’t wait to go back in the summer.
This home is suitable for everyone (couples, families, groups) who want comfort, space and a great holiday
Everything!

“Simply perfect”
We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the owners, we were treated as if we were old friends.
Harbour View is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners provided some much welcomed little extras such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk...as well as washing-up liquid which we had forgotten.
The owners know the local area and had helpfully provided leaflets on local attractions, restaurants and takeaways which was very useful indeed.
Harbour View has three bedrooms and plenty of room in the lounge for everyone to sit comfortably. A dining area, shower room and separate toilet. The views are superb and it was just a shame that the weather was a little on the cool side as we would have loved to have made use of the outside seating on the decking to take in more of the view.
The park was lovely and quiet. It was easy to find and within a short distance of all the local attractions, with Portland being mere minutes away.
Highly recommended!
The peace and quiet
Local Gems:The local Chinese takeaway (next to the chip shop on the Weymouth road - turn left out of the site and it’s about 12 miles up the road on the left)

“Fantastic holiday home, with great views and facilities and wonderful hosts”
The best holiday home we have stayed in!!
Very friendly owners, lovely quiet and friendly park, although still very good facilities.
Close to fantastic local features and the coastal path runs alongside the complex, so excellent walking is guaranteed.
A great base for exploring Dorset, whether you want an action-packed holiday or leisurely outdoors break!
We will be back.
Lovely clean and spacious caravan, with lovely touches such as local guide books and local story books for the kids. Very welcoming and well prepared hosts.

“This was a FABULOUS family holiday!”
A-Break-Away Holidays clearly want you to enjoy your stay at their holiday homes.
They give you a warm welcome on your arrival and have your caravan spotlessly clean and well equipped.
A good location and fabulous experience all round!
We stayed here last year and returned this year because we knew that we would have a fantastic (stress-free) experience, and we did!

“Wow, such clean and lovely accommodation”
Wow.... the views were amazing from this home, the home was so clean ... didn’t think anyone had ever used the shower.
All the beds were made ready for us, and the owners had thoughfully put a nappy bin in for us.
The owners were there to meet and greet, they’d put a welcome pack in.....told us about the site and amenities, left us plenty of info on places to visit.
The site is very clean and tidy, the entertainment was top class
We loved the local DVD and books of the area.
Having the beds made was lovely.

“Fantastic owners, great home with lovely views on a relaxing 5 star site”
Harbour View is a 3 bedroomed pre-loved home that the owners have taken on. It has great views from both inside the home and on the deck. The view looks over the fleet, Chesil beach and the sea to Portland and its cliffs, truly amazing.
We’ve stayed in both their other homes on this site and although slightly older than their other two, they have clearly worked their magic on this one. Everything is just as clean and tidy as their other homes and of such high quality.
It has a cosy, homely, friendly feel to it. We loved it! There’s plenty of room for a family. The deck was bathed in sunshine and lovely to have breakfast on each day.
Everything you need (except towels) is provided. All the usual little extras you expect from this couple are there - tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, oil and vinegar, quality toilet roll, kitchen towel, hairdryer etc.
The fact that your beds are made for your arrival
The makings of a good cuppa and biscuits are there after your journey
I don’t think there’s a leaflet in Weymouth that Stewart hasn’t thought to put in the home
You will find iron and ironing board in the laundry room on the site, not in the home. (The owners told us this is a health and safety issue as people have left irons switched on when they’ve gone out, melted worktops and burnt duvets in the past by not using an ironing board)
N.B - Please read Owner’s Reply below...
Crab House Cafe - fantastic fish reataurant
Lobster Pot for cream tea
Muffins in Weymouth for lunch out
Weymouth museum is good
Please note - We would like to thank Carol for her comments and we are sorry that we had to take the decision not to leave an iron and ironing board in the homes. Be assured, the melted worktop and burned duvet were replaced immediately!
