Summary:

“Excellent B&B, a little gem!”

We have returned to this lovely B&B on numerous occasions. Anne continues to provide the highest standards of food, the breakfasts are excellent, all homemade jams, muesli, sausages and home cured bacon, wonderfully fresh and served with homemade bread.

The ambience is relaxing and rooms are very comfortable. The location is fabulous, away from the hustle and bustle of Abersoch and a few miles from the quieter Aberdaron, in splendid countryside with great options for coastal and country walking.

Specifically Recommend:

The breakfast is highly recommended.

Summary:

“A real find for anyone who enjoys excellent home cooking”

Pen y Bwlch was highly recommended to us and we can see why. We had the warmest of welcomes to a beautifully furnished and comfortable cottage in a lovely part of Wales.

The food was superb - all home cooked and imaginatively presented. We would definitely recommend the evening meals which were sourced from the best local produce and prepared by a fantastic cook. To have such wonderful food so freshly prepared made our weekend.

Thank you, Anne, for making our stay so memorable.

I confirm Sian was a bona-fide paying guest at Pen-y-Bwlch. The content of her recommendation was not incentivised and is factually accurate at the time of writing.

Summary:

“A perfect retreat on the Llyn Peninsula”

This location was booked for us by Celtic Trails during a holiday walking on the Llyn Coastal Path. It was outstanding.

The owner, Anne Smith, is a perfect, welcoming hostess. The accommodations were lovely and very comfortable.

Anne Smith prepares incredible meals. Our only regret was that we could not stay more than one night.

The location was lovely and quiet.

Specifically Recommend:

Extremely comfortable, in a lovely coastal setting with superior attention to details.

Local Gems:

Views, coastal setting and beach.

Summary:

“This is the best B & B accommodation possible”

This is absolutely excellent accommodation. We had a very comfortable bedroom and a magnificent bathroom, together with space to store our belongings and a comfortable sitting room.

The food is wonderful, served in a pleasant sun lounge. We did not have a packed lunch, but did have a wonderful dinner of local lobster.

One can buy Anne’s beautiful hand-made glass products or hand-made toiletries and local preserves.

Very highly recommended.

Specifically Recommend:

The dinner of lobster or sea bass - you need to order this in advance. There are two options, one and two courses and coffee and handmade chocolates.

Local Gems:

The oldest gallery in Wales, which also has walks in the grounds, a pet cemetery and a coffee shop.
