“A marvellous experience”
A wonderful stay in an exciting windmill. There are marvellous views from the upper floor where it is possible to sit, relax and enjoy watching the sun setting.
The amenities are very good and the welcome from the owner couldn’t be better. This was our second visit and we enjoyed the experience even more than the first time.
For anybody wanting a relaxing few days in very pleasant surroundings then this destination can be highly recommended.

“If you are looking for somewhere different to stay, look no further”
The thought of spending a night in a windmill was, to say the least, unusual, but also quite exciting and, as it turned out, a most enjoyable stay.
The host, Wendy Armitage, made us feel very welcome into her home. The Windmill suite lived up to all our expectations - the views from the top of the windmill of the Bedfordshire countryside was fantastic.
We had a nice walk down to the village pub, the Jackel, which served up a great meal.
We would thoroughly recommend a stay at The Windmill at Thurleigh
Just enjoy.
Local Gems:We were not there long enough.
En Route:Someone has already suggested it, but the Embankment in Bedford is well worth a visit.

“Excellent”
A truly lovely relaxing stay in an unusual accommodation.
The hosts were very welcoming and made you feel at home. They were very helpful with advice on where to eat and local knowledge.
The Windmill is restored beautifully and at the top the views are amazing. It is very clean with lots of little extras e.g. toiletries, coffee and tea facilities, books, CDs and videos.
Breakfast is served on the ground floor of The Windmill. It is prepared and cooked fresh and is delicious.
Can’t wait to go back and would recommend to anyone wanting something different.
Excellent value for money.
Ask for The Windmill suite. It is fabulous and unique to anything we have stayed in before.
Local Gems:The embankment in Bedford is nice to walk along.
En Route:Cambridge is a nice city to visit.
