Ewe View was perfect, spacious and super clean. The hot tub was fantastic.

It had everything we needed and more, the on-site pub was fabulous. The owners obviously look after their accommodation and guests.

Amazing location, beautiful walks and views. Our dogs loved it and we hope to return soon.

Specifically Recommend:

The on-site pub for gorgeous home cooked food and a good selection of beers.

The hot tub.

Local Gems:

On-site pub very good food and atmosphere.

Lots of local walks

Very close to Windermere, Bowness and Keswick.

Summary:

“This was our first visit to Limefitt and I have to say that the impression it left on us, I don’t think there is any advice that I could give to improve it. Great location, well maintained and something for everyone.”

The booking process was so simple. Everything was straight forward from selecting the accommodation on-line, emailing our enquiry, and receiving confirmation immediately. I thought it was a nice touch to receive a text on the day we travelled to wish us a good weekend in the Lake District.

The lodge itself was perfect. It was exactly as described on the website. Ewe View is well situated, with a great view of the surrounding countryside.

The lodge was immaculate inside, well thought out decor, very good layout with the bedrooms at either end, and so well equipped we wanted for absolutely nothing.

The living space was more than ample and very warm and cosy.

Specifically Recommend:

Take a walk across the road from the park and up to the village of Townend. Walk towards Ambleside and come across a fantastic elevated view of Lake Windermere.

On the way back, walk straight ahead and take lunch and refreshments at the Mortal Man pub.

Local Gems:

The Haybarn Inn on the park offers a good range of food and local ales.

There are some lovely walks - try some of the bridlepaths if you fancy a bit more of the wilderness.

En Route:

On the walk towards Ambleside, the views are fantastic - especially the elevated view of Lake Windermere. Also worth a trip into Bowness, with its lakeside views.
