“Secluded cottage in beautiful forest surroundings”
A beautiful cottage in secluded surroundings. A real chance to get away from every day hustle and bustle! No internet, TV or mobile connection made this a perfect get away!
A log fire was already prepared for us on our arrival which was a lovely touch.
There are sheep roaming just outside the garden fence and lots of other wildlife such as a fox that visited the area most nights.. a wonderful sight!
There are many wonderful walks which surround the cottage which are well worth exploring.
This cottage sleeps six comfortably although we were a family of four.
We were very sad to leave Pwll Pendre and will definitely be back!
The chance to get away from it all!
Be Aware:There is quite a steep path from the parking space to the cottage so not suitable for disabled guests.
Local Gems:The walks around the Hafod Estate are right on the doorstep and well worth pursuing!
En Route:TreTower House & Castle Raglan Castle - en route from Wiltshire!

“Beyond expectations....don’t forget your walking boots to explore!”
The location of the cottage is just breathtaking! You fully expect Jane Austen to wander past your front door! It’s beautiful.
The cottage is done up to a high traditional standard & is a perfect place to escape the rat race!
Fantastic walks on your doorstep, very well signposted. If going for the weekend there is so much to explore that you won’t need to use your car!
We walked 3 times a day and saw 4 people in total over the 2 days. Bliss! The Hafod Estate walks are well worth it.
No phone reception.
One bathroom between six
Large pond situated in front of the cottage so be warned about midges!!!!!
100m walk of various inclines from parking to cottage
Elan valley really worth a drive around & take a picnic!
Great tea rooms @ the Devil’s bridge just up the road.
