We have just returned from a fantastic visit to Wern Fawr Manor Farm. I have never been a B&B fan, more a hotel person, but this stay may just have changed my views.

We were met by Helen practically the second we turned off our engine. She came out to greet us, which was so refreshing. We had the double bedroom which was very spacious with an en-suite and a little walk-in wardrobe dressing room which I loved. Plus the luxury of an electric blanket... I am now a warm bed convert! Helen could not have made us feel more welcome.

However, their first rate service really kicked in when our eldest daughter, who was camping at the Wakestock festival, rang us in despair having been flooded out of her tent by the rain. Helen was fabulous in terms of providing us with extra towels for her and her friend to shower, we used the drying facilities to dry her clothes and then she managed to fit her in for the night and couldn’t have been more helpful. An extra cup and saucer even appeared on our bedroom tea tray!

Due to the rain we were a little stuck in for a while and the barn door was opened to reveal a pool and table tennis table which was fantastic to fill some time. Alan kindly helped us get it all working. The breakfasts were huge and delicious and Helen was always around if we had any questions about local places to go to. We will definitely be back
