“Really smart lodge, well equipped and clean. Lovely outside deck and right by the river. Great base for days out in the South Lakes”
The Lodge was extremely well equipped and in a fabulous location right next to the river with lots of walking books and games for the children. We had friends staying in five other lodges, each with their own character but all very clean and well equipped.
Limefitt Park made us feel very welcome, including the site pub (the Hay Barn). The park was a fantastic base to explore Windermere, Ullswater and Coniston. We were spoilt for choice of things to do and will definitely be back at Limefitt and Esthwaite sometime soon.
The Autumn colours were fantastic and the weather was kind so we really could not have asked for more from a holiday.
I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Lake District Lodge Holidays as the service provided was genuinely first class.
Everything- cannot fault it!!

“We’ve definitely found our gem of a lodge in a perfect location, can’t wait to return”
Esthwaite Lodge was beautiful and certainly had the wow factor. It was so clean, cosy and comfortable and all the well thought out little extras made it even more special.
Its location in the park overlooking the beck was lovely and the fantastic, well furnished outside decking area was a real bonus and definitely a place to relax and enjoy a glass or two of wine!
We had specifically gone to The Lakes to walk with the dog and we found it a real bonus to be able to do some walking straight from the lodge without using the car and fighting for car parking spaces with a muddy dog in tow.
If you’re a walker then the walk up Wansfell from the park is well worth the effort without the use of your car.
We also walked from Brotherswater car park up to Angle Tarn and down into Hartsop for a very scenic and exhilarating walk of about 7 miles.
The use of the extensive range of walking books and leaflets in the lodge is a real bonus
The Haybarn (inn) on site with good food and the bonus of being pet-friendly without compromising on cleanliness

“Everything we needed and more”
This was my fourth visit to the picturesque Limefitt Park but my first visit to Esthwaite lodge. Mark, as always, made booking especially smooth and friendly.
Esthwaite Lodge is on one of the nicest positions on Limefitt, right by the soothing sound and visually beautiful Beck. To open your lounge curtains of the floor-to-ceiling window to the idyllic surroundings is immediately ahhhhhhhh.
The lodge is extremely well equipped, very clean, well maintained, bright and modern. The secure decking area is both spacious and appealing. Brenda has not skipped on quality, a definite home-from-home.
We are already looking forward to a return trip in October and can’t wait!
Take advantage of the excellent information folders of sights, walks and places to eat.
Haybarn on site is worth a definite visit, lovely food, friendly and a huge bonus that it is dog-friendly. If you’re not a dog owner, please don’t be put off as it is very clean.

“Wonderful, peaceful location”
Very well equipped property in a wonderful location. We hope to return next year.
We took my elderly mother who was 90 this year and apart from having to climb the three steps to the door, the lodge suited her perfectly with the walk-in shower facility.
A trip to Tarn Hows - a very easy 1.5mile walk suitable for all ages and wheelchairs, prams, bikes etc. You get a real feel for The Lakes without much effort.

“What’s not to love - this has been our 3rd time on Limefitt Park and would recommend it to anyone”
A lovely modern lodge and very well equipped. Very light and spacious, the big windows gave a good view over the beck, especially after the rain which of course we had.
The decking is spacious and has some nice garden furniture and planters - our two dogs loved it out there.
There is plenty to do on the park - the walk is nice off up the back of the pub onto the hillside with amazing views.
A lovely place to be quiet and relax. Would highly recommend the lodge and park to anyone.
Give it a go you will not be disappointed, we can’t wait to go back.
Local Gems:The Haybarn pub on site had a friendly atmosphere and the food was lovely. Has a pool table and darts to help fill in the wet evenings. A bonus that the dogs were allowed also.
En Route:As we come from Scarborough we call off at Mainsgill Farm shop on the A66. Lovely meals and nice to sit out, with things to do for the kids.

We had a fantastic stay at Esthwaite Lodge.... Modern, clean, with an outstanding location next to the river.
We were delighted by the quality and standard of the accommodation, and the on-site pub at Limefitt Park was excellent.

“Perfect for a relaxing and comfortable holiday”
Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Esthwaite lodge has everything provided to make it a most welcoming and comfortable stay. Very clean and well appointed.
In my opinion, Esthwaite is situated in one of the best spots on Limefitt Park with the beck in full flow at the front. Made good use of the spacious decking, it is made very secure with a gate which is very useful to keep in young children and dogs.
Park is suitably located for walks, bike rides and local pubs. Suitable for families or couples who want a peaceful break away and appreciate the beautiful scenery of the Lake District.
Make use of the information and leaflets provided giving information on the walks, drives and places to eat!
Local Gems:Perfect little Italian restaurant in Bowness-on-Windermere called Villa Positano.
En Route:Kirkby Lonsdale for the perfect bacon sarny!

“What a find!”
Outstanding accommodation with spectacular views, within easy driving distance to Windermere and Ambleside. Lodge is right by Troutbeck brook which is very soothing.
This has to be one of the very best places to go to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lakes - doesn’t matter what the weather is like if you want walks, good food, relaxing accommodation this is the place to go - but make sure there are dates free for us to come back!!
We would recommend that if you want to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lakes, this is the place to go.
