“Cosy lodge for a relaxing Lakes get-away!”
Scafell Lodge is a cosy cabin situated high up in White Cross Bay holiday park, meaning there are nice views and you are not overlooked by other lodges. It’s warm and clean with all mod cons, and has great indoor and outdoor space with lots of outdoor seating.
The town of Bowness is less than 10 minutes’ drive, and a petrol station, convenience store and an assortment of pub-restaurants are just a few minutes away.
The lodge is raised up off the ground and there is a small but steep flight of wooden stairs to reach it, so wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. However it is a great destination for couples and families alike.
The jacuzzi bath makes a nice treat!
And nothing was nicer than taking breakfast out onto the verandah and listening to the birdsong.
The Sun Hotel is just round the corner and does lovely food.
If you go to Bowness, walk down to the lake edge and rent a rowing boat from the boat shack there. Much more fun than the motor boats and when you are gently floating in the middle of the lake you really appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of the area.
