“For a relaxing retreat try Limefitt Park”
We have just returned from an amazing stay in Shalom Lodge in Limefitt Park near Lake Windermere. The Lodge was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
We booked through Lake District Lodge Holidays and had a fantastic booking and holiday experience with Mark Holdcroft sending us great directions and detailed information of our stay and what was available to us.
The Lodge was very clean and cosy and felt like a real home-from-home. The location was brilliant with easy access to Windermere.
The service at the Haybarn restaurant on site was excellent with great, reasonably priced food and friendly staff.
Local Gems:We just needed a relaxing break so apart from a boat trip on Windermere we did very little

“Lake District Lodge Holidays - perfect getaway”
We were very, very pleased with the accommodation on this holiday. The lodge was extremely welcoming, homely and clean and had absolutely everything you could need, all bedding and towels were also provided. Also plenty of space for a family of four. Very good value for money.
Although I don’t normally like holiday parks, this one was quiet and had everything you could need (shop, pub, launderette, really good adventure playground), yet the emphasis remained on the location - set in a beautiful valley with a river running through it which children can play in, weather permitting! Only a couple of miles from all the attractions of Bowness and Winderemere so plenty to do whatever the weather.
Lake District Lodge Holidays provided a hassle-free experience and perfect accommodation in a great location.
Would recommend Lake District Lodge Holidays. Limefitt Park is good for young families and couples wanting a quiet getaway.
Local Gems:Coniston Watersports Centre & Bowness Bay Marina for boat hire
En Route:Kirkby Lonsdale, river just off main road
