“Comfortable dog-friendly cottage with walks and cycling right on your doorstep.”
Great for dog owners. This is a no-nonsense detached cottage with tiled-lino flooring downstairs and a large enclosed patio outside, so no need to worry about the dogs ruining carpets or wandering off.
Very steep spiral staircase leads upstairs to one big bedroom sleeping a maximum of 6 people separated by the staircase in the middle. Very tall people will struggle to stand up upstairs! The kitchen is very well equipped with a little decked patio outside. The downstairs bathroom has a big shower, no bath.
Beaulieu Heath is quite literally across the road, and Hatchet Pond is just around the corner. Minutes from Beaulieu and Brockenhurst, near Lyminton and the coast. Lovely walks and good cycling right from the door. Not far to the coast and some very good restaurants-pubs.
Not good for anyone with mobility issues, but perfect for walkers-cyclists-dog owners. The cottage is next to a large paddock which the dogs are allowed to run in - very handy late at night and first thing. All in all a very comfortable and stress-free stay for two adults and two dogs.
Come with two dogs, don’t expect luxury, and you’ll have a great week!
Local Gems:Good food and atmosphere at The Ship Inn in Lymington
Gentle cycling on the New Forest tracks
Sunset at Hatchet Pond
Watching the ponies on Beaulieu Heath
