“Top quality accommodation and service”
The Lodge and the whole holiday process exceeded our expectations.
The property is situated on Limefitt Park which is a quiet relaxing family park, it is kept spotless and all the properties are very well maintained.
We have stayed on this park on numerous occasions and this lodge rates as the best so far. Everything you could need for cooking and cleaning is provided and the furniture and fittings are top quality. The beds are very comfortable with quality bed linen.
The Park is well situated for touring the area, the Lodge is suited to couples or families wanting a touch of luxury on their Lake District break.
The communication and booking service provided by Mark was very professional - he was only ever an email or phone call away.
You will not be disappointed - book in confidence and have a great holiday.
I would specifically recommend Loughrigg Lodge and Limefitt park for a relaxing quiet family break.
Local Gems:A little cafe in Windermere is really worth a visit it is called Lazy Daisy

“It was a very relaxing stress-free holiday and next time I think we will go for two weeks!”
We wanted a family-friendly, quiet, central location to explore the Lake District with our children, Limefitt Park was perfect! There was a great park and play area for the children and a lovely river for paddling. The pub on site also did great food and was the perfect place for the rainy evenings to play pool.
The lodge was absolutely beautiful, immaculate throughout, gorgeous bedrooms and an en-suite which was a huge bonus. There was a bath and a shower and the decking surrounding the lodge was a huge asset for us with a toddler who likes to try and run away from us whenever possible.
We would highly recommend both Limefitt Park and specifically Loughrigg Lodge to everyone. Everything was great and Mark was easy to contact via email, we had all the information we needed.
Everything! It was great!
Local Gems:There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area, we particularly enjoyed hiring a canoe on Ullswater and spending the day at Brockhole Visitor Centre with its amazing aerial assault course!

“Fabulous lodge, area and park - cannot praise it more”
Having never been to The Lakes we wanted a central location for a base. After looking at many on the internet we finally picked Limefitt Park.....we were not disappointed. This location was ideal and we managed to cover Kendal, Keswick, Ullswater, Grasmere and Windermere. We wanted to sightsee and visit the views and little shops we had read about.
Onto the lodge..... We found it perfect for all our needs. The lodge was in excellent condition looking and feeling brand new. Two bedrooms - one en-suite - and a fabulous bathroom with corner bath. The kitchen had everything included and was also immaculate. Flat screen TV and TV in bedroom. Nice lounge with two sofas and table with six chairs.
Plenty of hot water and lovely and warm all the time. Found our lodge nice and quiet with everything and more we wanted. We cannot recommend it more.
The information and service Mark gave us covered everything we wanted. He was easily contacted by phone and e-mail.
Local Gems:We found Keswick our favourite - nice views and little shops for everything.

“Loughrigg Lodge - perfect family base for exploring South Lakeland”
The location of Loughrigg Lodge is very good for visiting south Lakeland. Easy access by car to Windermere, Ambleside and Ullswater. The site is family-friendly and quiet.
We particularly recommend this property and site for families with young children as there is a very good play area and the pub on site is family-friendly doing good value food starting at 5pm which suits young families.
Loughrigg Lodge exceeded our expectation of a self catering lodge as it was very clean and equipped with everything you could need, including bedding, towels, and the kitchen particularly well-equipped with utensils, crockery and so on of a high quality.
The lodge is still quite new and the quality of furnishings is very good. We were also pleased to see plenty of towels and extra bedding for the stay.
The owners had provided games and jigsaws as well.
We would definitely like to go back to Loughrigg lodge.
For young families we recommend a trip on Ullswater Steamers which run from Glenridding and Pooley Bridge.
Tarn Howes is a 30 min drive and is a nice easy walk for children, even in poor weather.
Ullswater Steamers is a great family day out. Get the boats from Glenridding pier.

“Great place - stay here and you won’t be disappointed!”
The lodge had everything you could ask for - a complete kitchen and living space, books, TV and jigsaws for those rainy times!
The bedrooms and bathrooms are of a high standard and the whole lodge was very clean upon arrival.
The site is also very good, with an on-site bar and shop, and a great location for walking without using the car, if you don’t want to.
I would recommend this cabin and will be book again for next year.
Walkers - a relaxing, get-away-from-it-all break
Local Gems:The on-site bar was great
