“The PERFECT holiday for your dogs, your family and you!”
This is our fourth year at Westhayes Helsbury Park and during that time, we have stayed a few times a year using it to meet up and have a holiday with various family members or just to have our own family holiday.
The property is very spacious making it ideal for children and dogs, and the layout allows the feeling of space you need when holidaying with other people.
The setting couldn’t be better, acres and acres of land for safe dog walking, the pool complex for swimming with the children and the gym for adults.
I would say this is an ideal holiday for dog owners who want to take their dog on holiday, it’s perfect also if you have children but it would be a really tranquil break for those not taking children.
Go for dog walks at the site, it’s perfect, or try the beaches at Polzeath or Daymar.
Cafe open at Polzeath but after a walk at Daymar, drive to Rock and have lunch at the Rock Inn.
The local beaches are great for a drink and a dog walk. However if you’re happy to drive, after a long dog walk, you can leave the dogs to have a good sleep and you drive off to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, Fifteen.

“I was just blown away by the place and the location....a little spot of heaven in Cornwall”
Westhayes - A conversion from a traditional stone barn, beautifully done with thought and attention. It is spacious, comfortable and full of character a superb home to come back to after a long day exploring.
The website and brochure give you all the information you could possibly want and is extremely accurate, you know what you are going to get.
The location was just spot on with everything you want on your doorstep to walk the dogs and close to the coast and the moors, just perfect. The fact the land borders the River Camel is also ideal for a cool off on those hot days. In fact if I stayed in the summer I would have several days on site, I would just walk to the river take a bottle of wine to cool off in the water, a good book and a rug and just let the dogs browse whilst I chill out
To have such great accommodation that is dog friendly is just such a find.
The location is just so peaceful and idyllic. We filled the barn to the max capacity yet it never felt full. I liked the large rooms downstairs as it made the place very sociable and the views from every window were just a delight.
It’s a must for dog lovers let alone people without them. Great place, so very highly recommended, I can’t wait to go back and Leza and David were fantastic.
Local Gems:The Blisland Inn is a must. Roaring log fires, amazing real ales (a CAMRA winning pub on numerous occasions), extremely dog-friendly and friendly locals and landlord.
Delphy Bridge is also a must, I imagine in the summer when the beaches are busy this is a great place for the dogs to have a swim and cool off after the owners have enjoyed a lovely meal at The Blisland Inn.
Too many great beaches to mention.
Aunt Aggies pasties at St Kew are also highly recommended.
