“What it says on the tin, plus more”
This accommodation is exactly what it says on the tin plus perhaps a little bit more. Before going we got some helpful information from the owner. He contacted us shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was OK and to ask if we had any problems, we didn’t.
On arrival everything was clean and tidy. The apartment is very roomy, and everything we used was in good working order. It’s one of those places you walk in and feel relaxed. It was great to arrive and find tea and coffee available and milk in the fridge, along with some other little niceties.
Beds were nice and comfortable.
The location, sitting on the river, is perfect and peaceful. Sitting on the balcony in the sunshine is bliss. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre and there are numerous decent places to eat within walking distance.
Would I stay here again..... without doubt. Going back to Kendal I would not even look anywhere else.

“5 star apartment on the banks of the river Kent in Kendal”
Excellent location for the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Quiet, very well appointed, secure, with river frontage and wonderful views of Kendal castle. The town centre a short walk away, with several pleasant restaurants.
The apartment is warm and welcoming when you arrive, lights on, heating on, with all basic essentials provided, coffee, tea and wine waiting for you.
This is a very relaxing place to stay, comfort and furnishing at its best. For selfish reasons we would like to keep it to ourselves, but to be fair to the owners, it deserves a very good review.

“Wonderful”
The apartment was described as luxury and it was absolutely tip top. It looked nice in the photos on the website and when we arrived it did not disappoint.
Every need was catered for. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us. The kitchen was superbly equipped and the beds were so comfortable. All furnishing were very tasteful. Just as described.
This is a brilliant apartment in the heart of Kendal. The balcony overlooking the river was lovely. The seating on the balcony was comfy and relaxing. On a sunny afternoon it was great with a cup tea in hand after some good walking in the lakes or Dales. Booths, the local supermarket, is an easy walk away.
Both bedrooms were luxurious, spacious and with lots of wardrobe space. The bathroom and en-suite shower room were of the same high standard.
The kitchen had everything you could ever need. It made eating in a pleasure.
We had never stayed in Kendal and it was a great base to explore both the Dales and the Lakes.

“A touch of luxury in the Lake District”
I stayed in this fabulous apartment from 1st-5th November and I had a wonderful time... not even the weather could dampen my spirits as it was a truly first class apartment (I’ve stayed at the Four Seasons in Sydney and I know where I’d prefer to return to)
The decor is stunning and the en-suite made me green with envy and never have I had such a comfortable bed when I’ve stayed away from home, it was bliss! The small touches and attention to detail were truly first class.
The apartment is a 5 minute stroll from Kendal town centre and an easy 10 minute drive (through stunning rolling hills) to Lake Windermere. This apartment is perfect if you want to explore the Lake District but want to stay somewhere away from the crowds and stay somewhere less touristy.
I simply cannot fault the apartment, nor the owners, who cannot do enough to ensure your stay is as perfect as possible. If they have the dates available you want then book it straight away, you won’t find anywhere better.
The bed
Local Gems:Lots of walks, beautiful places to photograph, etc.
