“A very peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable break in a beautiful and quiet spot of Cornwall, enhanced by the Cornish spring with all the wild flowers and warmth in luxury self catering accommodation but with the benefits of service one would expect from a five star hotel if required”
A luxury small 5 star site of real houses, very well equipped and luxurious with on-site facilities including bar and restaurant, indoor and outdoor heated pools, tennis, squash, playground and games room in a wonderfully peaceful setting close to anything you might like to visit whilst on holiday in Cornwall.
Number 28 we found was especially well placed as it is adjacent to a large grassy area, is on the flat and close to the on-site facilities, but still in a quiet location and there is plenty of parking right outside. Self catering but with all the luxuries and if you do not want to self-cater then there is the Cafe Azur where meals can be taken or they can be sent round to the cottage.
We found that travelling to Cornwall is now very much better as the new road has opened where the traffic hold ups used to be in the past, so that the travelling time and stress of a journey are both reduced. We will definitely go back again and again - especially off season as it is open all year round. It is an ideal place to go with small children as well as older ones or without.
Spring in Cornwall is absolutely beautiful - there are wild flowers bursting from all the hedgerows and there are fields of daffodils. It seems to be warmer there than the rest of the country - something to do with the Gulf Stream I believe - and there are palm trees and plants we do not see at home - so a bit like going to another country but without any language, currency or passport complications!
We all loved it. Our children are now teenagers and there was plenty for them to do, but I know they would have loved it when they were younger just as much. The valley is in a wonderfully quiet and hidden setting with a safe (fenced) stream running through, surrounded by farmland and woods. Saw a fox wander right past our patio doors and spent time watching the birds and squirrels. The village is only a short distance however with a very good shop and Truro is only about 3 miles and is great for shopping.
Luxuriously equipped, warm and comfortable.
Huge and very comfy beds with en-suite bathrooms with shower.
Peace and quiet but with facilities on site and convenient for touristy visits
Only how wonderful it is there!!!
The staff in reception and the bar were very pleasant and helpful and I feel sure would provide anything needed if asked.
Truro and Falmouth for shopping.
Perranporth and Porthtowan for beaches, Lowe beach for an ice cream and cup of tea.
Trelissick gardens, Eden Project, Maritime Museum, Flambards, and more
Asda Walmart at Bristol off M5 at Cribbs Causeway does bottomless coffee, tea and hot chocolate and very reasonable meals en route - different from motorway services and is by all the big stores if you have time for a bit of shopping - also offers cheapest fuel and a car wash! At Junction 27 on M5 there is a Little Chef which again is away from motorway services but just as convenient

“A very relaxing stay, superb accommodation in a central Cornwall location”
The Valley is a gathering of 46 luxury & individual cottages, gathered around a central restaurant, bar and swimming pool complex. Set amongst beautiful, peaceful countryside all contained within security gates.
Facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a small gymnasium (3 x pieces of equipment), a squash court, tennis court, games room for children which includes table tennis, bar billiards, pool and a football table. The restaurant serves a-la carte and snacks.
This is a 5 star self-catering resort - very clean, centrally located and the facilities and amenities are excellent
You will not stay in cleaner or more well furnished self-catering homes than this.
Be Aware:The Valley is (as per the name) set in a valley and is extremely hilly and not ideal for people with wheelchairs or those who have difficulty walking up very steep inclines.
A list of local restaurants would be useful but the staff were happy to recommend some fine dining at local inns such as Pandora’s Inn or the Norway Inn
The Norway Inn and Pandora Inn (Flushing) are excellent country pubs that serve fantastic food.
If you have children take them to Flambards
Also for older children visit the Go-Karts at St Evel near Newquay this has a 1000m track and is very cheap!
