“A holiday that exceeded our expectations”
It exceeded my expectations because so often I have booked accommodation before and it has been clean however not as spotless as this bungalow. The furnishings were also as new and very pleasant to the eye. Good quality and colour co-ordination which shows the effort put into this accommodation.
This bungalow had lovely unspoilt open views to the back and it was very close to the coastal footpath. The area was very quiet but only minutes from the sea. In the area were many pubs doing food at very reasonable prices, small shops for groceries. There is some very interesting history to the area.
The accommodation had everything needed for a holiday let - plenty of hot water, heating was great given we were there in November. There were a variety of books, DVDs games for all ages, lovely quality furnishings. Home from home!!
The area and the lovely accommodation - very easy to sit and relax without leaving the bungalow if you need a day doing absolutely nothing.
We could live in this bungalow - it has everything you could need. Also very well maintained and cleaned throughout, which is a must for any holiday
Nothing at all, just go and enjoy.
The price was very reasonable - thank you owners
The Duke provided excellent food.
The local Spar had everything we needed.
Easy access to other villages and towns
We travelled from Lincolnshire to Norfolk and found plenty of Garden Centres to stop for refreshment and loo breaks.

“Very enjoyable and came home reluctantly. Loads more to explore in the area and Kestrel is the perfect base. Very good value and owners friendly and easy to deal with”
Website photos were helpful to illustrate property and its facilities. Bungalow was much closer to the sea than expected which could be further attraction!
Bungalow was spacious, very clean and well equipped. We could hear the sea from the front room!
Our stay at Kestrel was very enjoyable. It is furnished very comfortably, warm and well lit. The conservatory gives a wonderful gentle relaxing view over fields towards Norfolk churches on the horizon. It was well equipped and very clean and all the appliances are easy to work. The beds are nicely made up and comfortable.
The location is great, you can see and hear the sea from the front room and the property is located on a quiet private road with good direct access to coastline walking (although no immediate access to the beach).
There is a little shop selling basics and a cafe within walking distance. We met a few neighbours who were friendly. Kestrel was a lovely base to return to after a day exploring, we extended our holiday because we didn’t want to go home!
Very quiet and relaxing place to stay. Especially sitting in the conservatory with a glass of wine watching the sun go down over lonely Norfolk churches.
Good walking direct from the bungalow
Full-sized bath towels would have been nice!
It would be great if you encouraged recycling - there was a door collection while we were there.
Could not get all TV channels
Climbing the church tower at St Helen’s Church then lovely walk through nearby nature reserve.
Excellent and interesting day at the RAF Radar Museum where we were given a tour and shown Cold War action rooms left as they were when last used.
Norwich is a great city and easily explored by foot, we used the park and ride, which was cheap and very quick.
Excellent pub in Happisburgh and cliff top walk to the lighthouse.
