“Could we move in please”
Hector’s House exceeded our expectations - outstanding in every way. Clean, peaceful, private and relaxed.
An idyllic location on a lovely Devon farm from which to explore the Jurassic coastline and collect fossils with the beautiful fishing town of Seaton with its tramway running along the picture perfect river Axe.
A little further along the coast we found the small town of Beer and a good spot for lunch with a nice little harbour where you can hire small 18ft clinker built boats all with little inboard engines to take away the stress of rowing!
You must whilst here go to Branscombe bay and try the Branscombe Ale. Oh, and the tea rooms on the beach and so much more - We will be back . . . .
The rural location says it all.
Be Aware:The addictive nature of staying at Hectors - could we move in please
Local Gems:Just a few miles away from Hectors House is Hugh-Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage HQ and The River Cottage Local Produce Store and Canteen is located in the centre of Axminster a mile or so distant.
Also went to Mark Hix Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis. We can highly recommend both the above
