An English Tourist Board 4-star rated gritstone cottage in the conservation village of Elton, near Bakewell. Built in 1800s and retains many original features. Centrally heated and double glazed. Ideally situated for touring the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales.
Downstairs - Lounge with fireplace and gas stove fire, TV DVD-Video. Kitchen with electric double oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and washer-drier. Upstairs, two bedrooms - one with double bed and one with a 3ft single. Modern bathroom with bath and electric shower.
Extensive views from the rear garden with picnic table, chairs and BBQ. Village pub (drinks only), village cafe open at weekends for brunch & cakes, and small Post Office. One mile to Winster for choice of pubs that do food, general store-newsagents. Many more shops in Bakewell. Chatsworth House 6 miles.

Comfortable. Quiet location on bus route.
Value for money and would recommend to friends.
Many places accessible by bus (especially using bus pass!!)

“Excellent”
The cottage easily lives up to the owner’s description.
It is very comfortable but retains its character and charm.
The village is lovely and the locals are friendly
Homely and very well equipped - much more homely than many other holiday cottages we have stayed at
Local Gems:The cycle trail along the Old Cromford & High Peak railway is extraordinary - wonderful views and accessible to all.
Cycle hire from Middleton or Parsley Hay.
