“Fantastic Limefitt View Lodge with stunning views across the Troutbeck Valley”
Limefitt View Lodge is absolutely amazing with stunning, far reaching views across the Troutbeck Valley.
The lodge itself is 5 star quality with everything one could want and more. Whilst the weather was too cold to sit out on the decking and enjoy the views, this was more than compensated for by the fantastic, panoramic views from the large patio windows which let light and sun stream into the lodge.
The location of the lodge on the park is brilliant, having an elevated position and close to the Haybarn Inn. Limefitt Park itself is almost equi-distance between Windermere, Ambleside and Bowness and is therefore in a fantastic location to either drive or for the fitter people, walk to these centres.
Limefitt View is particularly suited to families. There are two kingsize bedrooms (one en-suite) and one twin room. There are TVs in each of the bedrooms with the twin room also having a DVD which is great if you have kids with you.
We will definitely return again to this little haven.
The Queenshead is fantastic for food and The Haybarn is great for bar food and convenience being located on the park
Excellent walks directly from Limefitt Park, especially Wansfell Pike over to Ambleside and the walk via Orrest Head to Windermere - No need to brave the traffic!!

“Just wish we were still there, will probably never holiday abroad again now”
Went to Limefitt to relax and have a nice break - also it was my 50th Birthday. We went on some good walks and visited a few of the lakes.
The weather was great, even our 14 year old daughter enjoyed the peace and quiet. It’s our dog’s first holiday and he loved the stream to play and cool off.
We all loved the lodge and will definitely be back. We’ve told all our friends.
All of it, book early to avoid disappointment
Local Gems:Everywhere you went, everywhere was dog-friendly which was wonderful
En Route:Kirby Stephen - nice to walk Wallace and get a coffee

“WOW !!!! STUNNING AND TRANQUIL RETREAT !!! CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK”
Excellent lodge with stunning views whilst sat in the lodge or whilst sat on the large decking area with excellent seating.
It is also possible to see deer walking through the park. It’s so quiet and peaceful.
Mark and Janet at the park’s reception are very helpful and do provide service with a smile. They are very well clued up in the knowledge of the local area and walks can be obtained from here also.
Take plenty of provisions and beverages to enjoy al fresco dining especially for those warm summer nights.
Local Gems:A visit to the Queens Head and the Mortal Man is a must also and it’s only a short walk away.
Try walking from the lodge over to Ambleside via Robin Lane and for the more energetic walker head over to Wansfell Pike then back down Nanny Lane ending up at the Mortal Man for a well earned pint of Sally Birkett (brewed by Hawkeshead Brewery specially for the pub).
A boat trip on Ullswater is a must too - I personally think nicer scenery than Lake Windermere.
The Haybarn pub on site is an excellent little hidden pub serving good food and excellent hosts.
RHS Holehird gardens are a must - they are just on the road up to Limefitt and throughout the year they will have plant sales on.
Also Wilf’s cafe next to Hawkshead beer hall in Staveley for a scrumptious lunch en-route to the lodge.

“Five star quality break at the very best price”
Limefitt View lodge exceeded all our expectations. We have stayed in two other lodges on Limefitt Park but, this is the best lodge by far. The location is just about perfect with the lodge being on an elevated position looking over the rest of the other lodges. The view of the countryside from the lounge is stunning.
The layout and the quality of the finish inside is first class. The park itself is located within easy reach of all the places of interest surrounding The Lakes. We even had the wonderful experience of being able to see deer grazing on the hillside whilst sitting at the dining table having breakfast.
As regards to booking our stay, it couldn’t be more simple. Just log onto the website and choose available dates. Reply re confirmation of dates is swift and easy to understand
We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to stay again next May for two weeks.
The walk down beside the beck is beautiful and if the weather is warm enough you can even have a swim in the deeper parts as did my daughter’s partner the first time we stayed on Limefitt Park.
The other bonus is that if you wish to bring your dog with you, it’s no problem with some lodges being dog-owner-friendly.
The visit to Beatrix Potter’s house was of great enjoyment.
If you wish to visit a traditional open Market, the drive to Keswick is well worth the effort
Morecambe Bay is only a short diversion on your way up to the Lakes if you fancy a visit to the seaside

“Beautiful, stunning lodge in lovely Limefitt Park!”
A great place to stay - stunning lodge, very clean, views from the deck beautiful!
Limefitt Park itself was great, the children enjoyed the play area, especially the zip wire and we all enjoyed the Haybarn for meals and drinks!
Lots of walks right on the doorstep, a truly lovely place. We will definitely stay again!
Enjoy a drink on the decking overlooking the beautiful scenery!

“Perfect for all ages”
Fabulous lodge with everything we needed. The views were amazing, and the lodge’s elevated position meant that the view was unobstructed.
The huge veranda with seating meant that we could make the most of every bit of sunshine.
The Park was quiet and relaxing, even though work was being carried out on a nearby lodge, and within easy reach of lots of attractions.
The river pool was a particular favourite along with Lakeland Pony Treks at the edge of the park.
We were a three generation group and all wished that we had booked for longer than four nights. No one was ready to go home, and everyone would be happy to visit again.
Have a meal at the Haybarn. Lovely food and really friendly staff.

The lodge was really comfortable and well equipped, in a quiet location with a lovely view.
The park is in an excellent location for exploring the southern lakes and the on-site pub was handy.
Particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck taking in the view very peaceful and glorious when the sun shone!
Lots of useful local information was also provided in the lodge which was great.
The lodge was excellent - exceeded expectations

“Quality accommodation with stunning views”
The lodge was excellent, very comfortable, nicely furnished and well equipped.
The location was really great with stunning scenery.
It is suitable for couples and families.
There is a good walk leading from The Haybarn at top of the site.
Local Gems:The Mortal Man at Troutbeck - good food, open fires (nice when weather not good) and great views.
Also gingerbread shop in Grasmere is very quaint and next to graveyard where Wordsworth is buried.
We stopped off by the lake at Windermere.

“A fantastic Lodge with everything you need, set in a prime Lake District location which made for one of our most relaxing and enjoyable holidays”
The Lodge is modern and fitted out to a very high standard. It was cosy in cold, snowy weather yet cool on the warm day we had, with two sets of patio doors opening up on to a very large veranda. The Lodge has very impressive views of the valley down to Troutbeck and with the elevated veranda it was so relaxing to admire the view with a glass of wine in one hand!
Limefitt Park is an excellent location for those that want to walk without travelling by car first, and those that like to visit places of interest and shop, with Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside close by.
There was nothing that we were short of in the Lodge - even enough crockery and cutlery when using the dishwasher. The property is ideal for families and couples - it was even a great place for our 17 year old to revise for his AS exams - nice and quiet with no distractions! All in all a fantastic, relaxing holiday and I have recommended the lodge to all my family and friends.
Would specifically recommend the walk to Ambleside directly from the Lodge - some great views from the top of the hill.
Local Gems:A visit to the Mortal Man pub is a must - great food and beer.

“Would stay here again, no problem”
Great lodge on a nice quiet park, close to the pub with grand views. Clean and well-equipped, sleeps six and plenty of space for BBQs etc on decking (even the equipment is provided though we didn’t use it).
Park is in a good postion, close to Windermere, about two miles, which is walkable but some of the road does not have a path. Lots of walks around, only six miles or so to Ambleside on a well defined path route.
Great new lodge, owner has supplied extras such as a Wii with games and a DVD player with plenty of DVDs for a rainy day..
Peace and quiet.
Easy travel to other parts of The Lakes and good pubs in walking distance (info provided in lodge)
