Summary:

“Bliss!”

Website gives a very clear description of the whole of Boscrowan and each individual cottage. It details the facilities provided and includes tantalising photographs! There is excellent details of local attractions and includes hyperlinks to many of them.

The cottage was even more lovely than the pictures suggested. The decor was beautifully co-ordinated and the pictures did not do justice to the quality of the furnishings.

Peace and Plenty is set in a very quiet location which has easy access either by car or on foot to Penzance. The accommodation surpasses anywhere we have stayed before in almost 25 years of self catering holidays.

The gardens are lovely and every window provides a wonderful outlook. The attention to detail is staggering even down to the colour co-ordinated coat-hangers in the wardrobes.

Everything that you could possibly want or need (and a whole load more besides) is provided including picnic hamper and rug, binoculars, recipes for seasonal vegetables (which you can pick in the garden).

There is a huge range of information about the area including attractions, purveyors of local produce, the local newspaper, a weather forecast, recommendations for walks, eating places, etc. In addition there is enough reading material provided to keep the most avid reader well satisfied for a very long time.

The little touches - fresh herbs, flowers in every room, an Aloe Vera plant (and a description of its healing properties), the cream tea components on arrival and even the flour for dusting the tray to bake the croissants available in the freezer all add to the delights already described.

Specifically Recommend:

The fact that Elizabeth and David are happy to help in any way, yet will offer the space for guests to do their own thing if they choose

Be Aware:

You may not wish to leave!

Local Gems:

The Navy Inn and the Turk’s Head in Penzance.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The Minack Theatre (evening performances are more atmospheric than matinees).

Porthcurno Beach.

St Michael’s Mount

Summary:

“Boscrowan provides the perfect base for exploring this perfect part of Cornwall”

Boscrowan is a truly wonderful place to stay - the very best accommodation we’ve ever found in 30 years of visiting west Cornwall. The highest quality of accommodation, peaceful, away from everything yet convenient for Penzance, set in beautiful surroundings.

Marvellous hosts who live in the main farmhouse, are there if you need them (and nothing is too much trouble!), whilst allowing you privacy.

Peace & Plenty sleeps four in great comfort and has everything you could wish for, and an attention to detail which is second to none.

Next door, Ring & Thimble sleeps two in sheer luxury! Boscrowan is a truly lovely place - a real haven. Lots of information provided for visitors about the area - the owners have left no stone unturned in helping their guests have a good time!

The owners’ meticulous attention to detail is something we’ve never experienced elsewhere. There is nothing extra that we could wish for.

Specifically Recommend:

The Cornish cream tea welcome says it all. It is set in its own grounds, which are a wonderful place for anyone to stay, whatever age.

The farm animals are a joy - two lovely dogs, plus cats, horses and lots of ducks and chickens.

You’re welcome, and encouraged, to help out with collecting and feeding the animals, something which the children will love to do! You’ll also have eggs for breakfast every day!

Local Gems:

Newton Equestrian (01326 240 388) at Mullion offers excellent riding for all, including rides to the local beach.

Good local pubs include The White Hart at Ludgvan (01736 740 574) and The Fire Engine at Marazion (01736 710 562), both offer excellent food and good range of beers.
