Summary:

“Perfick ! Perfick ! Perfick !”

This was a perfect short break - fishing for Hubby, and peace and quiet for Me to read and relax!

Stayed in Teal Cabin which is for 2 persons, well equipped and very comfortable, with all you need for a self-catering holiday even down to the salt & pepper pots on the table! We took a lot of stuff we did not need to!

The fishing was excellent and to say that Louth was only ten minutes away it was a haven of peace and tranquillity.

Specifically Recommend:

Visit Louth for its excellent local foods... there is no Tesco, Asda or big supermarket in town so local foods reign supreme. Choose from ........ Plum Bread, Pork Pies (Mmmmmmmm ), local meat at local butchers - properly hung and tasty - local Lincolnshire Poachers’ Cheese with the Plum Bread - Delicous!

Try Fish & Chips at Mr Chips - eat-in or take out - these are the best Fish & Chips we have tasted, a small name for a big tasty meal

A tackle shop near the Church will take care of all your tackle and bait needs while staying.
TIP - Use big baits to get down to the bigger fish and watch out for ’Jaws’ the resident BIG Carp !!

Be Aware:

The driveway to the cabins is a bit of a gravel-type surface which could be a bit of a push for wheelchairs in places, but no big problem just something to be aware of. Your car will be parked right beside the cabin.

Local Gems:

Pocklingtons Bakers

Castaline Tackle Shop

Local Market (3 days a week)

Any of the Local Butchers - all excellent

Mr Chips - Quality fish & chips
and the Cheese Shop

En Route:

From Bridlington to Louth not long enough to warrant a break in journey but saw some nice looking local Pubs and Tea Gardens once in Lincolnshire
