“The perfect place to spend a birthday weekend with family!”
Although the Tudor Lodge is Grade II listed, it has been restored so beautifully that it makes for a very comfortable 21st-century stay.
The interior is full of so much attention to detail you don’t know where to look, from the hand-forged window clasps to the clothes rails in the bedrooms.
And the outside space is a bonus - a beautiful lawned area with a lovely flowering border, along with a herb garden. And very close proximity to the village pub!
The only thing potential guests might like to aware of is the very steep stairs to the second bedroom, although not a problem for us, and sound travels - again, not a problem for us, but it could make or break friendships!
Other than that, a bit more local information on best places to get groceries, local pubs, delis etc would be useful.
Hunters Moon pub (but only had a drink there), Plas Derwen, No 18 at Crickhowell, Waitrose at Abergavenny!
En Route:Travelling from Bristol to Abergavenny, stopped in Usk.
