“Lovingly restored cottage full of charm and warmth”
The property excelled in the way of what we were expecting. Everything was in character of a traditional Welsh cottage and it was full of charm and warmth. A truly beautiful cottage.
We also hired out the adjacent cottage, Bwthyn Tresinwen, which was equally beautiful.
The pictures on the website don’t show the extent of how truly magical this cottage is.
We went to this cottage as a group of women celebrating my sister’s forthcoming wedding, and we would all bring our families back for a holiday here.
FANTASTIC place.
Bring along walking boots - miles and miles of beautiful coast path to explore.
Local Gems:A walk to see the lighthouse.
Pub meal in The Sloop, Porthgain.
Glass workshop with Steve Robinson in St. David’s.
Art gallery in Porthgain

“Peaceful, relaxing and rustic”
We had a lovely few days at Strumble Head in this beautifully restored cottage in a peaceful setting and the owners, who live next door, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Plenty of opportunity for walking with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path very nearby. Lots of lovely beaches, villages, and opportunities for general exploration within easy reach.
The cottage itself has everything you’ll need and is very comfortable - a great place to get some peace and quiet and recharge the batteries. Only wish we’d had longer!
There is a small Tesco store and petrol station close by in Goodwick, so don’t panic if you’ve forgotten to pick up milk.
The booking system through Under the Thatch is very user-friendly and great communication from them before and after our stay - couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Be Aware:Potential guests should be aware of the narrow roads leading down to the cottage, so take it quietly...
No mobile phone reception (which could be seen as a good thing)!
The wool mill at Melin Tregwynt - lovely selection of products in the shop, and the cafe does great milkshakes! www.melintregwynt.co.uk
En Route:Travelling from M4 direction towards Fishguard
There is a great farm shop at Nant-y-Coy Mill. There’s also a gallery and nice cafe (with Wi-Fi access) - www.reallywildfarmshop.co.uk.
