“Accommodation, location, things to do, all perfect from start to finish. Total bliss!”
Everything about this holiday was perfect. From the scenic drive through the valleys and beautiful coastal drive from Aberystwyth to Cardigan. The cabin itself was warm, cosy, inviting and well equipped for all weathers and set in beautiful surroundings. The view at the cabin and all around is always changing when the sun rises and sets and you can sit on the cabin deck listening to all the wildlife. So romantic.
Loads to do nearby from beautiful scenic walks to fun days out or seaside shopping. Everything is easy to find if you have a good atlas or survey map. The cabin had a survey map and even a pair of binoculars to use during your stay. There were also leaflets on things to do in the area as well as a visitors book in which people had written about their time at Cabin Cariad and where they had visited. All in all, accommodation, facilities, things to do, everything about this holiday was truly perfect. We got all that we could have wished for and more.
Read the Visitors’ Book to hear other guests’ experiences and where they visited during their stay! We found this really useful.
Open all the doors and windows whilst your fella unloads the car and by the time you’ve unloaded the car, the cabin will feel like home. It also heats up really quickly if it’s a bit chilly.
Cenarth to see the falls, eat ice cream or cake and do a little gift shopping. It’s the nearest village and is just a short walk from Penlan Holiday village.
Tresaith to see the waterfall and eat at The Ship. We went in the evening and saw the most beautiful sunset after walking along the beach to see the waterfall, but the waterfall is more accessible in the day and there is a little beach shop open in the day.
The roundhouses at Castell Henllys. You can go into the roundhouses and feel like the original occupants only just left. The guide. Roger, had loads of interesting and exciting thing to tell about the roundhouses and their history. We could have talked to him all day.
A visit to the burial chambers on the Pembrokeshire Coast. No shops but gorgeous views!
A470 - A44 are a great drive. We drove from the East Midlands. Took the slightly longer route so that we could drive along the coast from Aberystwyth to Cardigan. Loads of little stopping points on the way to enjoy the view.

“Perfect and just what we needed and hoped for”
Description was completely accurate and exceeded expectation upon our arrival - atmospheric park, well kitted out, warm, cosy, home from home
Our stay at Caban Cariad was simply a perfect New Year getaway after a hectic Christmas. A quiet, cosy, warm cabin kitted-out perfectly.
Reasonably priced, comfortable and a company of great cause that should be supported thoroughly. We shall definitely be booking with UTT once again!
Surroundings were simply amazing, close to gorgeous beaches and woodland walks.
Lovely Post Office nearby selling a range of food, including local cheese which was very very tasty!
Attention to detail and comfort already remarkably exceeded
Be Aware:If you have children then may not be suitable for out-of-season trips, although as a child I would have been more than happy with the parents, dog and long walks followed by country pub meals and back to the cosy cabin for reading and TV.
Local Gems:If you love coastal walks then get to Poppit sands and Tresaif beach, both just 15-25 mins drive away.
Local Post Office with super friendly owners
