“Great design, great decor, a home away from home in an amazing location”
We loved Zenobia. The furnishings are beachy - light, blues and greens - very refreshing and cool.
The beds are comfortable, the linen high quality, the kitchen well equipped. We had an excellent dinner party in the lovely dining room, lit by candles, then sat by the fire afterwards.
It’s true that the house really only fits four adults - the rest of the beds are fairly short bunk beds - but our extra guests slept well and weren’t complaining.
The single loo in the whole house was one too few for 6 though! (But we were warned about this on the website so no compaints there!)
New Quay is lovely, and we explored the beaches, coastal path and a couple of the pubs.
The garden is now finished and there is a lovely terrace at the back with a BBQ, outside table & chairs and sea view.
Comfy beds
Decor and feel of the house
Location overlooking the sea
Close to town yet on a quiet no through road
Fish shop on the quay at Abaraeron
The Queens - pub with real ale, cider and huge selection of secondhand books
Traeth - means beach in Welsh - great local restaurant with excellent views from the terrace

“Relaxing”
The house was light and airy, simply but tastefully decorated. With the great view from the front of the house that good, you don’t need fancy decor to look at. The house was very welcoming, and quiet when we stayed there as it is a no through road. At night you could hear the sea breaking on the rocks.
The kitchen was well stocked with equipment if you wanted to cook, the bathroom was good. The garden to the rear is steep with no view but had garden furniture and a barbecue. Still some work to be done on the top end of the garden, but as we liked sitting on the chairs at the front of the house to look at the view that didn’t bother us.
The town is on a hill, but compact and pleasant. It had many of the usual British seaside shops and attractions, but it was a great base for getting out and about.
Could Provide.....
We would have liked a welcome hamper or to have been supplied with details of nearby stores that do online delivery when you book your stay.
Plenty of leaflets on restaurants and attractions but no recommendations from owners, especially on good places to eat or drink in New Quay.
If you can paint or draw or love photography, stay at Zenobia.
Be Aware:Steep garden for children or elderly.
Digital TV would become unwatchable every night at 10.
Pen Wig in New Quay - good pub grub but stopped doing food at 8pm.
Llanerchaeron Estate excellent.
Aberaeron - good restaurants and shops especially The Harbourmaster Hotel
Cardigan - a lovely town.
LLangrannog beach good but with a steep twisty drive to get down to
Travelled from Port Talbot to New Quay - Four family members who do like a good restaurant or pub!
Would recommend Y Polyn Restaurant, Nantgareddig.
