“Beautiful, secluded hideaway....... Highly recommended”
What a simply excellent place Honeysuckle is...beautifully equipped with lots of extras including breakfast, milk, nibbles, toiletries etc Very comfortable bed and views of frolicking sheep!. Undoubtedly the best self-catering place we’ve been to.
Tucked away and so serene. The owners’ Siamese cats came to visit a few times - which was great. Nice to see decent TVs (lounge and bedroom) with good reception and free WiFi. Everything was very clean, tidy and worked - which can be a real issue with some self-catering places.
Decor, equipment and cleanliness and the thoughtful extras make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.
Very peaceful location.
Lyme Regis was probably the best seaside resort we visited.

“An oasis for the soul”
This was a return trip to Honeysuckle Hideaway and was every bit as good as I remember. We wanted a base to explore both Dartmoor and Exmoor and the location suits this well. The actual location is secluded, so ideal for those who want to hide away from it all - the only things that overlook you are the sheep outside the bedroom window!
If you want to fully self-cater, pretty much every utensil is available. If you don’t, a comprehensive list of recommended places to eat is provided. The welcome pack of goodies is lovely!
A wide range of DVDs is available if you just want to curl up on the comfy sofas, everything you could possibly need is there to make your stay comfortable.
Enjoy the opportunity to get away from it all.

“A perfect hideaway x”
Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Location was perfect and easy to find. The wonderful hamper was a lovely thought.
The cottage was cosy and warm. The bed was very comfortable too. Absolutely loved the bath being in the bedroom.
I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to get away to relax and have peace and quiet.
We didn’t eat out as we wanted to stay in but buying your food on the way would save you a trip out. Although the nearest Tesco is not far at all by car.

“Peaceful, relaxing and not a care in the world..... perfect!”
Excellent directions provided which meant stress-free journey followed by a lovely cosy, warm reception to Honeysuckle Hideaway. 5 star welcome package is such an original idea and executed brilliantly - a nice cold glass of white wine after unpacking with cheese and crackers!!
I was amused and overjoyed to find the bath was in the master suite in perfect view of the television - a blissful hour soaked away without a care in the world.
We would highly recommend Honeysuckle Hideaway to anayone who wants a peaceful, relaxing break away from it all.....you could even just turn up as everything you can think of is provided.
We will definitely be back!!

“The perfect place to chill out and relax in comfort”
This was our first stay in Honeysuckle Hideaway but we have stayed in its sister property, Rose Retreat, three times before. It is equally beautiful with a balcony overlooking the countryside and every possible home comfort provided.
We were lucky with the weather and spent a lovely aftenoon at Killerton House (about 10 minutes’ drive away). This is the perfect place for total rest and relaxation - we always come away with our batteries recharged!
The location of the property is stunning and easy to find with the aid of the excellent directions provided.
The four poster bed is like a cocoon - didn’t want to get up in the mornings!
The Keepers Cottage - lovely pub providing a delicious Sunday roast!
Seaton to Colyton tramway - lovely trip through scenic countryside - saw lots of buzzards!
Killerton House - nearby National Trust property with beautiful grounds and garden and vey nice home-made cakes in the tea shop!

“Perfect place - has everything you need”
What an absolutely beautiful place to sit back, chill and recharge your batteries. A well thought out, very comfortable home - unlike any place we have stayed before.
The inclusion of the computer, i-pad, DAB radio, DVDs and an assortment of books are ideal if the weather isn’t being favourable or you just want to lounge about and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The nibbles we had on our arrival were well received after the trip (by the way, we found the directions spot on and had no problem finding it).
Having two areas to sit outside was appreciated - we could sit in the sun wherever it was!
We would have no hesitation in recommending Honeysuckle Hideaway and would certainly use it again the next time we are in the Devon area.
Peace, quiet and tranquility.
Also, look up at the sky at night - we’ve never seen so many stars!

“Wonderful weekend break”
Beautiful hidden retreat, with excellent facilities and friendly owners. Lovely view at rear of property, and very playful cats! Very well catered for, with a large DVD collection and books - the owners have clearly thought of every eventuality.
A welcome basket containing coffee, wine, bread, scones and more was all supplied, along with a full English breakfast, which was much appreciated!
The property’s guest book is full of praise from many returning holidaymakers, which is testament to the property’s quality.

“Full of relaxation, rejuvenation and romance!”
This was such a lovely property that we booked for a honeymoon weekend the night (and following night) of our wedding day at the Cornbarn on the other side of Cullompton. Di and Richard were very accommodating and left the keys in the door so when we arrived late at night we could go in easily.
Honeysuckle Hideaway has a real WOW factor when you walk in. It is definitely the loveliest venue we have stayed in on holiday (and we have travelled across Canada too!). To find such a lovely place in our own county was a real treat. It feels very luxurious and manages to be quaint and cosy but with modern features as well. Sitting on the back balcony in the morning sun, sharing our cream tea with the field of sheep next to us was such a great start to the day!
The cottage is very secluded and a perfect retreat to the countryside with those special extra touches. I would recommend it to anyone, but particularly couples or small families or parties looking for some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! It oozes charm and we loved all the original features and quirky layout, whilst still being very spacious.
The food provided for breakfast was great. The teacups and crockery were a nice touch. We would recommend this venue to anyone and would love to go back! Di and Richard are friendly and welcoming. Book now!
Honeysuckle Hideaway is romantic, relaxing and rejuvenating!

“Honeysuckle Hideaway is just the most idyllic cottage ever”
Honeysuckle Hideaway is the most perfect place to rest and relax. Situated in quiet, beautiful countryside with beaches and sea not far away.
The cottage is just beautiful inside and Di and Richard have thought of everything. In fact we love it so much we have returned many times and are already booked for 2013 and can’t wait!
Di and Richard have thought of everything for your stay and there are excellent eating places not far away. All info is available in the cottage.

“Five star property with something extra”
A lot of thought has been put into this property - excellent decor, four poster bed, large bath, and balcony outside to sit and read or overlook the fields of sheep and horses.
Nice and peaceful but not too far away if you want to drive to the coast. Lots of additionals provided - breakfasts, snacks, wine, milk and bathroom items.
Five star property, but not too expensive
Be Aware:Hard to find, directions from A30 should say Plymtree, not Langford!

“For a relaxing break, look no further”
This is an ideal get away from it all venue in the heart of the countryside. The cottage is well maintained and provides everything you need for total relaxation. It gives privacy and peacefulness with a tranquil countryside setting. We had previously stayed earlier in the year (March) and were so impressed that we came back again in June.
We were particularly impressed with the welcome pack which was waiting for us when we arrived, which removed an immediate urgency to go shopping. The computer facility, large screen TV plus an extensive range of books, films and music are also a bonus.
The chance to have total peace and quiet in relaxing surroundings.
Local Gems:The coast is within easy reach with Sidmouth, Beer, Seaton and Branscombe being recommended places to visit.

“The perfect place to relax”
Honeysuckle Hideaway was a delightful retreat, perfect for hiding away! The cottage is very well thought out and all needs catered for. We were amazed at being provided with all we could possibly want for breakfast plus scones, cream and a bottle of wine.
Even when we managed to get lost around the country lanes, we were saved by our hosts who happened to be passing at exactly the right moment - incredible!
We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked another 3 nights in September - need I say more!
Peaceful, comfortable, romantic.

“Quiet, secluded and private, but still within easy reach of the world when you want it.”
We wanted a quiet and relaxing short break for our anniversary and at short notice, but we had our two dogs in tow, so wanted somewhere that would accommodate them too. This property fitted the bill perfectly. It is easily the best holiday cottage we have stayed in and we are returning for a longer stay later this year.
The property was very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. The website didn’t lie when it described it as ’luxurious’ and we were impressed by the attention to detail - we were still finding goodies left for us on the day we were leaving!
For anyone bringing dogs, note that the property is nestled amongst fields of livestock, so the usual rules about dogs on leads apply. And also note that Richard and Di have 5 cats, but they kept a discrete distance once they knew dogs were in the vicinity, so no issues there.
Sitting out on the balcony with my wife as the sun sets, glass of wine, no cars roaring past. Perfect.
Local Gems:We didn’t eat too much locally, but for those with dogs the pub at Talaton was very friendly and allowed dogs in the bar area. That’s about 20 minutes drive from the cottage.

“Peace and tranquility, a rare find nowadays”
We were looking for a few days away from our normal stressful life, and we found it the moment we arrived, with Di’s genuinely warm
welcome.
On entering Honeysuckle Hideaway we felt instantly comfortable and knew without
a doubt we’d come to the right place - the holiday home we’d always hoped to find but never had
until that moment.
Everything you thought you would ever need was
provided, so don’t worry if you forget your toothbrush.
Be prepared to hear nothing but the sound of nature.
Local Gems:Tiverton Canal Walk. Wonderful little cafe on

both hot and cold food. Nice garden with an
unusual display of teapots on the wall.
While enjoying our walk, we were fortunate enough to see the horse drawn barge. Very colourful sight.

“A wonderful place for peace and quiet, it will always have very special memories for us.”
We always nip to the cottage for a few days after Christmas to see in the New Year in peace and quiet. We spent years before then trying to organise the perfect New Years for everyone, but it was always so much pressure and never really went as well as we hoped.
We decided that due to the busy Christmas period and stress of New Year’s parties our present to each other should be going halves on a cottage away to celebrate by ourselves and it was the best idea we could have had!
So peaceful and cosy there, beautiful surroundings and decorated for the festive season for the guests - great touch! We also enjoyed the hampers we’ve had and a nice full fridge, all the little extras taken care of.
We’ve been there a couple of years now, we didn’t go last Christmas as the previous year I was proposed to by the dining table on the first night (Dec 30th) so we are saving for our wedding!
Having a massive bath in the bedroom is inspired, particularly since the wall mounted TV can be manoeuvred to be seen whilst bathing!
Local Gems:Going into Cullompton is always nice for a quiet beer, the juke box in the Horse and Trap is awesome!

“Tranquility is alive and well in Langford”
Honeysuckle Cottage was exactly what it said on the tin. To praise any aspect would by inference criticise another.
Decor, equipment and attitude of Di and Richard are, without doubt, the best we have ever experienced in self catering holidays.
The site is secluded, and although the buildings are relatively close, on a fine night, sitting on the rear balcony with the stars crystal clear above, total seclusion is yours.
Leave your watch in the suitcase.

“A gorgeous stay!”
We found this gem on the internet when we were arranging our itinerary for our Europe holiday. Having never booked this way before we were quite unsure what to expect. Honeysuckle Hideaway exceeded all our expectations.
From our arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Di and Richard and the essential rules were laid out tactfully. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have never been anywhere before where literally we could have just arrived with only our clothes. Practically every little detail has been thought of.
The information provided was extremely useful and we endeavoured to get through the list of recommended local pubs to visit for dinner each evening! (the directions provided were so easy to follow) We did lots of exploring down to Penzance and up to Bath, including a visit to a beach (can’t remember where) which had a Punch and Judy puppet show and donkey rides! (Unheard of in Australia).
The location is so scenic and we loved driving all the little country lanes with the hedges up each side. We often took the lanes instead of main roads to get to our destinations.
We also couldn’t praise Di and Richard more highly. From all the correspondence before our arrival and the little things which made a huge difference during our stay such as allowing us to use their own personal appliances to do some washing. My husband also loved the cats (all five of them)

“A fantastic location for a romantic break”
We booked Honeysuckle Hideaway for a relaxing romantic break and it was everything we were hoping for, and more. It is in a fabulous location overlooking countryside and farmland, and provides virtually everything you might need for a self-catering stay.
The accommodation is very tastefully decorated and well-maintained, and we particularly like the four-poster bed and double-ended bath in the bedroom.
We will definitely return to Honeysuckle for another stay, and have no hesitation in recommending it to couples looking for a quiet, romantic break.
The peacefulness of the location.
Local Gems:We enjoyed visits to the Tiverton canal and Sidmouth.

“Recommend to couples looking for a romantic break with all home comforts”
The cottage was exceptionally well equipped, beautifully presented and thoroughly lovely!
We wanted a ’get away from it all’ break, and that is exactly what it was.
Everything we needed, with no fuss.
I loved the fact that the balcony off the bedroom looks out over a field of sheep.
Local pub in Plymtree village was very friendly too, and food was great.
Peace and quiet.
Lovely welcome box of goodies

“WOW, WOW, WOW! Let’s book up again”
We thought the website looked amazing but when we arrived WOW. Having never been away for Christmas before this has been a magical experience.
We came to spend a relaxed and peaceful Christmas and got everything we hoped for plus more.
Walking in to the most magical of places - beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and twinkling garlands - even presents waiting for us under the tree.
Everything is provided for and the thought that has gone into this accommodation is outstanding. We will definitely be back.
The peace and quiet, the privacy, the surroundings.
The quality of the accommodation.
The thought and care of Di and Richard - everything was catered for plus more
Book early.
Local Gems:We didn’t really go out much, as it was Christmas and we just felt totally relaxed and chilled. We just put on our wellies and went walking

“A relaxing, peaceful and very romantic honeymoon. Just what we needed and we are looking forward to coming back for our wedding anniversary next year”
After a very busy two years and planning a wedding we just wanted peace and quiet and a relaxing honeymoon. We never realised how relaxing it could be!
It was peaceful, and very beautiful. We could walk for miles around and find a beautiful view on every corner.
This would be ideal for relaxing, romantic get-away or just to recharge your batteries.
Read the brochures under the TV unit! Some lovely places to go.

“Very good”
The accommodation is very complete and luxury, there are some nice details in the cottage such as innerdoors, glass in lead windows and wooden things made by the owner.
The owners have thought about everything. The bathroom and the bath in the sleepingroom are very luxury.
It is very quiet here and you can order every day your breakfast.
Go and see it.
Be Aware:When you’re a foreigner and you can’t read English very well then we can imagine it is difficult to find the cottage.

“Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing! Already booked to return!!”
Even better and more relaxing than we expected, a lovely surprise!
The accommodation is really lovely with lots of character. Everything has been thought of, from the practical to the artistic!
The surroundings are very rural, the gardens lovely and the silence at night fantastic !
Apart from the above, although the property is very rural it only takes about 25 minutes to get to Exeter (use the Park and Ride) and is within easy reach of many interesting spots, North and South Devon, National Trust Properties etc.
Try one of Di’s Holistic Therapies for a real treat!
Be Aware No! Just enjoy yourself!
Could Provide Nothing that we can think of!
Five Bells, Clyst Hydon.
Knightshayes Court. (National Trust)
Killerton House (National Trust)
As we drove from Surrey, we came straight here, only took about 2 - 3 hours with a stop for coffee!

“For a totally relaxing, unwinding and luxurious break Honeysuckle Hideaway is the place to stay!”
The property was even better than shown on the website - the finish, decor, cleanliness and the added little luxuries not to mention the total privacy and independence that you are given. Having said this Di and Richard are nearby and always on hand should they be needed.
The accommodation is 5 star quality and wonderfully secluded yet within easy driving distance of places such as Exeter for shops and history and the coast for family fun.
The accommodation itself is beautifully appointed with everything one could wish for yet it is also very homely which can only be attributed to Di and Richard’s exceptional good taste.
Total privacy yet not feeling isolated as Di and Richard are only a stone’s throw away.
Honeysuckle Hideaway will leave you feeling relaxed having spent time in a luxury environment.
Only that they will not want to leave and will have to plan for a return stay!
En Route:We travelled from Portishead in North Somerset so did not need en route facilities.

“Really relaxing - just what we wanted - we’re not ready to get back to the real world yet!”
Accommodation is very picturesque and pleasant.
It was a joy to stay inside when the weather was awful outside.
Surrounding lanes were great for cycling. We did 8-10 miles without even realising it!
If you want a delicious pub meal go to the 5 Bells in Clyst Hydon. Food was beautiful - I’d come back to Devon just for that!

“If I built a house for two, this would be it”
We wanted a hidden retreat to spend our honeymoon together with wonderful views, good food and a romantic setting - we fell in love all over again with each other and the place.
The peace was wonderful and we are so close to the motorway. There is a PC with internet access and a selection of music, an iPod dock and the best in technology. Combine this with the most fantastic luxuries like a bath made for two and a full English supplied everyday.
The surroundings are everything you could imagine in your dreams of English countryside. The accommodation is luxurious, tranquil and romantic with amazingly easy access to every amenity you could want. We even loved it in the rain!
Try a bath made for two with a bottle of complimentary wine and romantic music playing from the collection on the PC.
Be prepared to never want to leave.
Topsham is the most beautiful place to visit. Take a boat ride to Exmouth, wander down to the estuary and peer up side lanes for quaint paintings of English countryside.
En Route:We travelled from Nottingham to Devon on our Honeymoon and wanted a place to stop off. We found a wonderful B&B called Toghill Farm house just outside Bath. The accommodation was wonderful and Bath was fantastic to visit especially the spa

“Absolutely perfect - the relaxing break in beautiful surroundings which we were looking for - Thanks Di and Richard”
It was a very pleasant change to stay in a property which not only met its description of luxury surroundings but also exceeded that whilst also making guests feel comfortable and at home.
Although we live in Devon and are no strangers to the beauty of the county, to come and stay somewhere different from where we live in such superb accommodation was a real treat for both of us.
No detail has been left unattended to ensure that guests get the luxury relaxing break that the brochure describes.
We will definitely return hopefully sooner rather than later!

High quality bed linen, tea towels and abundant towels, together with two bath robes are provided.
Di Clatworthy is a warm and welcoming host who takes pride in providing all that her guests could need. The accommodation is in a truly rural environment with lovely countryside views. Outside is a garden with large fish-pond (fish food provided) and a gas barbeque for the sole use of the occupants of Honeysuckle Hideaway.
The property is within easy reach of many places of interest, but a car is essential to reach them.
All of the above. And also the fact that all your breakfast requirements are catered for.

“This was an absolutely amazing, superb, enchanting, relaxing way to recharge anyone’s batteries”
This is a spectacular barn conversion. Very luxurious. Very much better than expected.
Surroundings are enchanting - almost don’t want to go out and leave it! Everything is provided for your needs, even binoculars to look at all the wildlife, from the magnificent view from the patio outside your bedroom door.
Everything you need for relaxing, big choice of DVDs, 36 inch TV, games, books, mountain bikes if you are feeling energetic!
The food provided is everything and more you could possibly want. Full marks to our wonderful caring hosts Di and Richard, who went beyond the call of duty to make our stay very special indeed.
The luxury of the accommodation. 5 star welcome. Ideal if you want peace and quiet
Be Aware:There is nothing about this holiday anyone need to be aware except you need to stay longer!
There is nothing that could be done to make this better, all your needs have been thought of and provided
5 Bells public house, made us very welcome, excellent food

“More than perfect”
Honeysuckle Hideaway exceeded our expectations in very way.
The whole place is well thought out, decorated and equipped to a high standard. We had a welcome pack on arrival, cheese and nibbles, cream tea (we ate on the balcony overlooking the beautiful view) and everything supplied for a good breakfast every day.
The setting is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing time. Good places to eat near by and well situated to visit coast and countryside. We loved our stay there
The relaxing and peaceful surroundings.
Be Aware:You will not want to leave!
Only thing we couldn’t find was a cafetiere & a shower cap
The Five Bells - a proper pub with good food.
The River Cottage shop & canteen at Axminster well worth the drive.
Also the Great Western Canal for walks, and the Cottage Teashop near the basin at Tiverton - great scones with the cream tea
On the way from Hampshire we stopped at Bridport for a walk on the cliffs and fish & chip lunch on the quay, Lyme Regis for coffee and a look round - both recommended
Owner’s Reply:
Shower caps can be found in the bathroom basket of toiletries. Fresh coffee bags are provided with the breakfast produce, but a cafetiere will also now be put in the kitchen cupboard
As we assure guests on arrival that if there is anything they need they only have to ask, I am sorry that this guest did not mention it during the visit as it would not have been a problem to let them have one!

“It was very welcoming, relaxing and quiet, the accommodation was gorgeous and I would highly recommend it to anyone of any age, I could go on and on”
We stayed in Honeysuckle Hideaway, it is a beautifully converted barn with all mod cons including computer with unlimited internet access, dishwasher, American-style fridge freezer, cooker, microwave etc, but still very authentic!!
An ideal break for couples who want a peaceful, relaxing, romantic break. Gorgeous accommodation with attention to detail. En-suite shower room, the bedroom has a king size four poster bed, Velux windows with remote blinds, flat screen tv and a huge double-ended bath within it.
Decking area with the use of mountain bikes and bbq at request.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and rolling hills. Exeter town centre is 10 miles away, great shopping centre etc, and some great small shops worth visiting.
It was so much nicer than I could see from the brochure. . The hospitality is fantastic, so if you do need anything I’m quite sure you would only have to ask!!! More than satisfied
There are also holistic therapies available at a reasonable extra cost.
Everything you need for breakfast for every morning of your stay is provided!!
Just prepare to relax and enjoy!!!! (But do not trust sat nav through country lanes!!)
En Route:We very highly recommend eating at the Drewe Arms. (Details of local pubs are at the accommodation)

“Relaxation in the height of luxury!”
Exceeded our expectations - a real sense of luxury that couldn’t be accurately portrayed in the leaflet!
Honeysuckle Hideaway is truly that - a hideaway. Snug and comfy, the accommodation provided a haven from severe weather.
We wanted somewhere to escape from it all, but within reasonable reach of Dartmoor and the sea.
I have never stayed in self-catering accommodation as luxurious, with lots of little touches, like the welcome hamper, that go above and beyond what one would expect.
Delightful!
The views, the secluded location, the delightful touches that make this feel like a home from home.
Local Gems:The Carvery at the Plume of Feathers, Princetown.
En Route:Travelling from Cheshire to Devon, we stopped at Tewkesbury. The Abbey was glorious, as were the chips in The Bell!
