“It was a lovely place to chill out for a few days of family get-together”
The house was exactly as described and photographed
The house is very big yet cosy. Not sure it would be suitable for less than 4 because of its size!
It was really comfortable. We were provided with lots of phone numbers for an emergency.
It was extremely well equipped for self catering.
The view is beautiful, the area remote and quiet.
There are no pubs that we found within a reasonable walking distance.
Wellington boots are a must if you decide to go walking.
There was zero mobile reception with O2, not necessarily a bad thing! The house had a working phone for emergencies and local calls.
The butchers in Machynlleth are excellent for their lamb.

“A perfect holiday in a perfect house”
When you arrive at Cae Llwyd the first thing you notice is how secluded it is, there’s no one around for miles.
The house is magnificent from the outside & even better inside - it was a much larger property than we expected.
It was like my dream house - lovely big kitchen & bathroom with cosy sitting rooms and wood burning fire.
It was all very clean & tidy and had interesting items scattered around, such as the old leather chest upstairs. I didn’t want to leave, it was a perfect holiday.
I would recommend just enjoying the house, feeding the horses and watching the lambs in the field.
The bed was that comfy that you wanted to stay there all day and the whole house was amazing.
My only complaint is that the TV should be in the other sitting room as it has better sofas and a large open log fire.

“Imagine nestling in the lofty Welsh mountains, relaxing, unwinding and simply enjoy being as a family in the most uplifting, peaceful and uninterrupted locations with the calm, soothing atmosphere being punctuated only by cheery bird song and the bleating of gamboling lambs and you have summed up our holiday experience at Cae Lloyd”
Extremely spacious and tastefully decorated cottage with attention to detail and some fascinating ornaments.
Excellent heating system although weather was so nice it wasn’t needed by the end of the week.
Stunning country views from most windows. Relaxing ambience.
Idyllic setting nestling in the Welsh mountains, bucolic surrounded by lush green pastures with sheep and gamboling lambs and horses at the weekend.
Walks around the cottage up the hills to get amazing country views.
Be Aware:No mobile phone connection (which was a plus for us)
Maybe could have provided some milk, tea and Welsh cakes for arrival.
Instruction booklets for cooker and other appliances
Butchers in Machynlleth main street - excellent quality meat.
The coast, especially Aberdovey
