“Everything we could possibly want”
We have just spent a week in this lovely property. It had everything we could possibly wanted (the equipment is first class), but most of all it was so comfortable and peaceful. Although the property is on the road going through the village you would never know and walking through the village is so calm and quiet.
We were able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the quiet and scenery beyond the garden (which is lovely) either before going out for the day or upon our return.
It is convenient for visiting many places as well as walking.
We were very sorry when our stay came to an end but we will return and enjoy lots of walks.
Difficult to be specific as everything was just great.
Local Gems:The Old Hall Inn is just a short walk away for a lovely meal and well worth visiting.

“Can’t wait to return”
The apartment was great with everything we needed. Very clean and we loved the log burner. The balcony was great with beautiful views overlooking Eccles Pike.
We will go back, can’t wait to see the finished garden and duck pond. Would recommend to our friends.
The weather wasn’t very good, but we did some nice walks - Chinley Churn, Buxworth, Whaley Bridge, New Mills - all straight from the door. Didn’t need the car.
Very helpful and friendly owners.

“Parfait !”
This was our second winter visit and we will be back in July - what better recommendation!
The flat is very comfortable, spotless, well-appointed and decorated with taste. We loved the wood-burning stove which made for a really cosy atmosphere and for us added to the general home from home feeling.
The situation is ideal, right in the middle of the village with the village shops on the doorstep, but as the property is set back from the road, it’s particularly peaceful and we’re looking forward to having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lovely garden in the summer.
On a wider scale, for us it’s a perfect base for visiting family, walking in the Peaks and shopping for all the things we can’t get in France!
A special mention for the friendliness of the owners, they gave us such a warm welcome.

Chinley Churn a great walk, direct from the doorstep (and even better in the snow!)

“Top quality accommodation in a lovely and very interesting area”
We had stayed at Chinley End Farm in 2011 and returned for our second visit a year later. We knew that the property was excellent and there was so much to do in the local area. We intend going again. The visit exceeded expectations as the weather was amazing for March!
Everything about the flat is top quality. Comfortable king sized bed. Plenty of storage. Great shower. Underfloor heating which gives a nice, even temperature. Wood burning stove with limitless supplies of wood. Comfy sofas. Balcony where you can sit and dry washing. Quality kitchen appliances and oak units. Top of the range saucepans, cutlery etc
We love the village feel of Chinley. Hosts next door are very helpful and efficient. So much to do from the doorstep or out and about in the car or train. Very quiet, suitable for couples or singles.

“Fantastic quality, cosy cottage suitable for all!”
What a wonderful home from home!
With fresh flowers plus tea, coffee and milk to greet us, staying at Chinley End Farm could not have been more idyllic from the outset.
The facilities are first class and the apartment is even lovelier than the pictures show. We particularly enjoyed the attention to detail given to the flat (eg well-stocked log pile for the wonderful log fire, cleaning products, loo roll, tin foil, walking guides and maps, Trivial Pursuit, torch, cafetiere etc.)
We visited in a patchy week, weather-wise, in January 2012, but found there was plenty to enjoy in the immediate surrounds despite the weather. Super food, walking and pootling on the doorstep and although we’d brought a car, transport links meant we could very well have done without it.
The hosts were wonderful to deal with, even given our half day delayed arrival(!) answering emails efficiently and making themselves readily available to assist us, but leaving us to get on with our holiday in undisturbed, tranquil, Derbyshire peace.
We could not recommend this accommodation highly enough and hope to visit again in future.
