“Cottage and location was relaxing and we had a pleasant stay”
The Limes Cottage was cosy and immaculately clean. There was everything in the cottage that you needed eg iron, hairdryer, washing machine, all the pots and pans if you wanted to do a lot of cooking.
What we did like was the pesronal touches like coffee, tea, biscuits, milk and orange juice for our arrival, and Easter decorations and chocolates which made our welcome very special.
We found Mrs Potter a very warm and welcoming person. Pickering is a nice place for eating out and also plenty of shops. The Pickering Steam Railway Station is very good - we went to Goatland, Whitby on the train but there are also plenty of buses if you wished to visit Helmsley, Thornton-le-Dale and Kirbymoorside.
The beauty of staying at Lime Cottage was watching the trains go by through the lovely big French window in the living room, which was also great for wildlife watching.
We are looking forward to going back and have recommended The Limes Cottage to family. Mrs Potter also has a lovely house to let which is as lovely as her cottage and houses 12 people.
