“A fantastic base for exploring North Yorkshire Moors”
Stayed at High Mill over Easter weekend for a friend’s Hen Party. We had an excellent time!
High Mill offers excellent value for money. The house is extremely clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would ever need. There is plenty of parking outside the house, our party had four cars altogether and had no problems.
The location is a perfect base for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors and the East coast.
I would definitely recommend booking High Mill!
House is suitable for large parties including families.
House is suitable for children, safety gates are fitted as stairs are fairly steep (house is on three levels)
A visit to Falling Foss Tea Garden in Sneaton Forest -30 mins drive towards Whitby), perfect setting and excellent afternoon tea
(see www.fallingfossteagarden.co.uk)
Go Ape! in Dalby Forest is great fun! (www.goape.co.uk)
White Swan in Pickering serves excellent meals and has a private dining room for large parties

“Lovely house with a warm welcome.”
I organised a weekend away at High Mill for a group of 10 and everyone in the group commented on how lovely the house was.
We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived and the house itself was spotless throughout.
We had everything that we needed for the weekend, down to the log burner in the lounge being filled ready for us to use. The kitchen was well equipped with loads of crockery and glassware and the bed was one of the comfiest I have slept on away from home.
Sitting on the patio watching the steam trains go by.
Local Gems:The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is right next door, we took the train to Whitby.
Dalby Forest is really nearby.
Bothams tearoom in Pickering is only five minutes’ walk from the house - a must if you like a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake.
